The 1883 Lafayette football team was an American football team that represented Lafayette College as an independent during the 1883 college football season. Playing without a regular coach, the team compiled a 2–4 record and was outscored by a total of 126 to 110.[1][2] Theodore Welles was the team captain,[3] and F. Drake was the manager.[1] The team played its home games on The Quad in Easton, Pennsylvania.
