The 1973 Montreal Alouettes season was the 16th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 28th overall. The Alouettes finished the season in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 7–6–1 record. This was the first season with Marv Levy as head coach; previously the special teams coach for the NFL's Washington Redskins, he was hired by general manager J. I. Albrecht. The Alouettes returned to the Autostade after the team had played the previous season at Molson Stadium in a misguided attempt to increase profits. This would be the fifth of eight seasons with the venue as the host for the team. It was the last season with green on the jerseys, as they rebranded to have blue as the primary color for the 1974 season.
