The 2023–24 MSV Duisburg season was the 124th season in the club's football history. In 2023–24 the club played in the 3. Liga, the third tier of German football alongside the Lower Rhine Cup.[1][2][3]

Duisburg had a disastrous campaign, with their longest unbeaten run was only three matches and they had only one away win, against SC Verl on 10 February 2024. On 6 May 2024, following Waldhof Mannheim’s 1–1 draw against Ingolstadt, Duisburg were relegated to the Regionalliga for the first time in their history.[4]
