Parliamentary elections are due to be held in Venezuela by the end of 2025 to elect the 277 deputies of the National Assembly of Venezuela. The elections are set to take place during the ongoing political crisis within the country, and are not expected to be free nor fair.[1]

Electoral system

[edit]

Venezuela uses a parallel voting system, with 144 seats to be chosen by closed list proportional representation allocated using the d'Hondt method, and 133 seats to be chosen by first-past-the-post voting in 87 geographical constituencies.[2]
