Parliamentary elections are due to be held in Venezuela on 27 April 2025 elect the 277 deputies of the National Assembly of Venezuela.[1] The elections are set to take place during the ongoing political crisis within the country, and are not expected to be free nor fair.[2]
Electoral system
[edit]Venezuela uses a parallel voting system, with 144 seats to be chosen by closed list proportional representation allocated using the d'Hondt method, and 133 seats to be chosen by first-past-the-post voting in 87 geographical constituencies.[3]
