Junior career

[edit]

Whilst ranked European number one in the U14s, Kovackova won the U16 title at the Tennis Europe Masters in Monte Carlo in October 2022.[2] Later that year she became the first girl to win both the U14 and U16 "Player of the Year" awards in the same year.[3]

In July 2023, she won the final of the girls' doubles alongside compatriot Laura Samsonová. In the final, they faced Hannah Klugman and Isabelle Lacy of Great Britain, winning in straight sets. It was the first Czech pairing to win the title since Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in 2013.[4]

Defending the Wimbledon girls' doubles title alongside Samsonová in 2024, they lost in the quarterfinals to Mika Stojsavljevic and Mingge Xu.[5]
