As a result, she qualified for the 2020 European Athletics Championships,[2] though the event was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[10] Lada was in the running to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics, based on her world ranking position, until the Olympics were postponed.[11] In May 2020, Lada was in the first group of Cypriot athletes allowed to train during the COVID-19 pandemic.[12] She came eighth in the discus event at the 2021 European Throwing Cup, with a best throw of 57.54m.[13]
