This article may need to be rewritten to comply with Wikipedia's quality standards, as The Lewis Publishing Biographical 's entry for Noble Township on p. 282 outright says that this was Bellefontaine, Indiana "the only village" in the Township, not this mis-spelled GNIS "community" claptrap; and Hector wasn't a variant name, it was the name of the village's nearest post-office "three-fourths of a mile west and a half mile south of Bellefontaine".
