Bishamon is a professional wrestling tag team performing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Consisting on Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi, they began to work together as part of the stable Chaos. Goto is the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, while they won the IWGP Tag Team Championship four times as tag team. They are also the winners of the 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions of the World Tag League, the only team to win it three times.
History
[edit]Yoshi-Hashi joined Chaos in 2011, while Goto became member in 2016.[1] They wrestled together as part of multi-tag matches, including a title win in 2020 over his Chaos stablemates Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Sho to win the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship with Tomohiro Ishii in a tournament final at Summer Struggle in Korakuen Hall.[2]
In the 2021 World Tag League, Goto and Yoshi Hashi won the tournament when they defeated House of Torture.[3] At Wrestle Kingdom 16, they won the IWGP Tag Team Championship.[4] After they lost the titles to United Empire,[5] Bishamon won the 2022 World Tag Leage, wrestling for the Tag Team titles again at Wrestle Kingdom 17, defeating the then-champions FTR to win the titles for a second time.[6] Bishamon lost the title against Aussie Open, but the new champions vacated the titles. At Dominion 6.4 in Osaka-jo Hall, Goto and Yoshi-Hashi defeated the teams of House of Torture (Evil and Yujiro Takahashi) and United Empire (Great-O-Khan and Aaron Henare) in a three-way tag team match to win the IWGP and the Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship.[7]
