The Central District of Shahrekord County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شهرکرد) is in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shahr-e Kord.[3]
History
[edit]After the 2011 National Census, the city of Farrokh Shahr was separated from the district in the formation of Farrokhshahr District.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 224,380 in 56,777 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 242,215 people in 67,321 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 246,046 inhabitants living in 72,511 households.[2]
