Taxonomy and phylogeny

[edit]

Phylogenetic analysis has restricted Chalcidinae to only encompass those genera formerly included in the tribe Chalcidini, with the former tribes Brachymeriini and Phasgonophorini being elevated to subfamily status as Brachymeriinae and Phasgonophorinae, respectively.[1]
