Chrysander Antonio Botha (born 13 July 1988) is an international rugby union player for Namibia. He plays full-back and plays for the Welwitschias in the South African Rugby Challenge competition.[1]

Rugby career

He previously played for the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions and for the Lions in Super Rugby.

He made his test debut against Zimbabwe in 2008 and also played against Fiji in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, scoring a try.

He played in both legs of the Lions' promotion/relegation matches after the 2013 Super Rugby season,[2][3] which saw the Lions regain their spot in Super Rugby.

He was then included in the Lions squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season[4] and made his Super Rugby debut in a 21–20 victory over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.[5][6]

It was announced on 31 July 2014 the Botha had signed for Aviva Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.[7]

Botha is currently an assistant coach of the Namibia rugby team under Allister Coetzee
