English: The Chippewa pictured was built in 1866 Captain E.E. Heerman at La Crosse. The image was taken on the West Eau Claire Levee. She ran 5 seasons mostly between Eau Claire and Reeds Landing in St. Paul. Burned while laid up for the winter in 1871.
