Aramayoite is a rare silver, antimony, bismuth sulfosalt and this fine piece hails from the Type Locality - the Animas Mine of Bolivia. A 2.1 cm vug in sulfide matrix is richly lined with iridescent purple and gold aramayoite crystals. The species was discovered in 1926 and this historic old-time piece was collected by Sam Gordon for the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences in 1929-1930 on a field expedition. Ex.
