Summary
| Description | Adult Atlantic salmon of the Penobscot River in Maine are seen in their holding pool before artificial spawning in November. Unlike Pacific salmon, Atlantic salmon don't usually die after spawning, and are therefore returned to their home river to migrate back to sea.
