Description
English: Brookgreen Gardens - sculpture garden: The Fountain of the Muses by Carl Milles.
From 1956 to 1982, this piece was kept in the Roman Court in the Lamont Wing of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art as the centerpiece for a restaurant that would be relocated in 2003. The fountain is featured in the 1968 novel From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.
