Summary

Description
English: Detail of an illustration from the ancient Egyptian funerary text known as the Litany of Ra, from a papyrus belonging to Nany, a Theban noblewoman in the eleventh century BC (early Third Intermediate Period). The illustration portrays a row of mummiform deities, many with unusual heads. The text describes all these deities as manifestations of the sun god Ra, and the text serves as an illustration of his all-encompassing presence.
