Description

English: So-called Portrait of Carlo Emanuele IV of Sardinia (1751-1819), but is probably a depiction of his uncle Benedetto, Prince of Savoy (1741-1808).

Identification based on the comparison with some portraits of Benedetto of Savoy (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this portrait to verified representations of Carlo Emanuele.
