English: Fazakerley Cottage Homes, Longmoor Lane. Fazakerley Cottage Homes for the accommodation of pauper children were erected by the West Derby Union at Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley in 1888-9 to designs by CH Lancaster. Twenty five children were housed in each cottage supervised by a house-father and house-mother. To the left of the photo can be seen the central hall, the site also had schools, swimming baths, an infirmary and workshops.
