Summary

Description
English: The 1886 summer residence of Canadian engineer Sir Sandford Fleming in Fleming Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Know as the Fleming Cottage, it was at the heart of Fleming estate's country on the Northwest Arm, a holding known as The Dingle. Fleming died in the cottage on July 22, 1915. He donated the land around the cottage to the City of Halifax as a park, now called Fleming Park. The city purchased the cottage in 1948 and designated it as a heritage building in 1985. However it has been boarded up in recent years and their are fears for its future.
