Object history
Deutsch: Das heute gebräuchliche Bozner Stadtwappen beruht auf einer Privilegierung durch Herzog Leopold III. von Habsburg aus dem Jahr 1381. Es verwendet programmatisch die Tingierung des österreichischen Bindenschildes, allerdings mit Farbvertauschung (weiß-rot-weiß). Der sechszackige Stern, ein Hinweis auf die marianische Stella maris und damit auf die Hauptpatronin der städtischen Pfarrkirche, wurde während der faschistischen Administration zu einem fünfzackigen Stern als Symbol des savoyischen Königshauses umgebildet, aber nach dem Ende des Nazifaschismus wieder in seine ursprüngliche Form gebracht.
