Description
中文:勐底金塔位于中国云南省德宏州梁河县城西郊南底河畔,金塔于2008年6月举行“净土”仪式并开工,2009年11月敬奉“舍利”,2010年3月竣工,4月12日举行加冕开光大法会,2010年11月2日举行白马阿峦开光仪式。塔高57米,基座直径36米。塔底部四面开有佛龛,敬奉有葛达玛佛(东)、括嘎善佛(南)、果拉贡佛(西)、嘎萨巴佛(北)四尊大佛像。塔四面圆周之上两台建有16座群塔,主心塔上半部以钟型和13个钵型垒砌而成,冠部戴有佛教文化的金顶,造型别致,金碧辉煌,威严壮观,具有浓厚的南传上座部佛教和德宏民族文化特点。

与金塔基座东南郊相连的“白马阿峦”以千里马昂首奔驰之势,展现出佛祖生前转世之灵向世间赐予幸福吉祥、万事好运之意蕴。雕像栩栩如生,雕工之精湛、工艺之完美、湛称精绝。

勐底,根据地理区位,意为底下的地方。传说:及早时期,因江河猛涨、四处冲刷,以致整个坝子面目全非,茫茫水中独见一座傣语称之为“峦印”的小团坡未被冲走,后来人们发现是因为佛祖释迦牟尼生前转世一代中的“白马阿峦”曾在此生息,因此“峦印”有了灵气,人们建塔祭奉,故“峦印”之特殊名气世代流传,是人们一致公认的南传上座部佛教圣地之一。(节选自金塔旁碑文简介)
