Description
English: Unidentified World War 2 New Zealand engineer lifting out a German S mine from a landing field in Tripoli, circa 22 February 1943. A major task of the Engineers of the New Zealand Division during the advance of the 8th Army towards Tripoli, was the clearing of landing grounds of mines sown to delay the advance of Allied air forces.
