Summary

Description
English: A US National Park Ranger and a park volunteer tend the replica kitchen garden at the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. The garden features edible plants which might have been grown by residents of the lighthouse during its operation. Vegetables grown in this garden include root vegetables like carrots, herbs like sage and thyme, fruits like tomatoes and strawberries, and leafy greens like chard. Workers were replacing signs that marked the vegetables grown. The ranger can be seen wearing a surgical mask due to federal regulations in place for the COVID-19 pandemic.
