Summary

Description
English: This bronze relief plaque was created by Scott Sutherland in 1953 to mark the site of the William Adam-designed Town House (aka The Pillars) which had been demolished in 1932 to make way for City Square, Dundee. Commissioned by city engineer George Hutton, it was originally placed to the right of the entrance to the underground garage (which was on the site of the Town House) but when that was later removed it was relocated to the wall next to the City Chambers (which is not on the site).
