This is a picture of British tenor Richard Lewis, taken (probably) in the late 1950s by a freelance contracted photographer to promote his burgeoning career in the US to be used by US newspapers.

the picture comes with permission from the private collection of Richard Lewis's son Nigel Lewis but was a picture originally commissioned by the singer's New York-based agent Herbert Barratt Inc and a copy kept by Richard Lewis.
Permission to use the picture has been given by the owner of the only surviving print of the original photograpy, Nigel Lewis.
