DescriptionSilver trout carving by Bucks of Woodside.jpg
English: Silver trout carving at Buck's of Woodside. "Woody" or "The Indomitable Trout". More description copied from File:Indomitable Salmon Carving.jpg: A carving by Floyd Davis of the Indomitable Salmon, originally installed at Humboldt County's Prairie Creek Fish Hatchery in 1974 after fundraising efforts by former San Francisco 49er Ed Henke. The original rotted away and a copy was made without seeing the original which was later sold to the Arcata Co-op Grocery Store by the Humboldt County Supervisors and is currently outside Buck's of Woodside restaurant in Woodside, San Mateo County, California. The original dedication marker read "As a lasting tribute to the never ending struggle within nature for the survival of the species… This replica of the Indomitable salmon was presented to Humboldt County and its Prairie Creek Fish Hatchery on March 5, 1974, by the following as a symbol of the interdependence and common spirit that binds man to nature and all living things."
