Lucy Pahofta Bertram was the daughter of Indian John, a Kittitas Indian who lived in the foothills between Thorp and Cle Elum on the south side of the Yakima River. She lived in the Thorp area with her husband Antoine Bertram. She is seen in this picture wearing traditional attire complete with intricate beadwork on her hat.
