English: A photograph of a rank of glass pipes with the American Flag woven into the design. These pipes were made by Xaver Wilhelmy in response to the events of September 11th and were part of a Memorial Proposal for Ground Zero. The idea was to make a glass pipe to represent each fallen individual, to give them a voice. The Wilhelmy American Flag Glass Pipe Organ at Sunrise on the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The glass pipes shown were created by Xaver Wilhelmy, the first pipe organ builder in the world to successfully create working glass pipes.
