DescriptionWorcester (Shrub Hill) Station geograph-2163269.jpg
English: Up Midland Parcels train entering Worcester (Shrub Hill) Station. View northward, towards Wolverhampton via Kidderminster, also Birmingham via Bromsgrove - the route of this train (headed by Hughes/Fowler 5P4F 2-6-0 No. 42839). This Station was primarily ex-Great Western, on the main lines from Paddington via Oxford to Hereford (left) and Kidderminster and Wolverhampton (right). The LMS (ex-Midland) trains had running powers over the loop from its Birmingham - Bristol main line at Stoke Works Junction to Abbots Wood Junction. To the left can be glimpsed part of the GW Locomotive Depot. Beyond is the hill from which my SO8555 : Worcester Locomotive Depot. was taken.
