English: Palace Maids (reproduction). Tang dynasty. Shaanxi History Museum, Xi'an
The museum boasts a very important collection of grave murals, whose delicate condition prevents them from being displayed at the moment (2006). Instead, some high-quality replicas, such as this one, are on public display. The painting shows a group of palace maids, wearing floor-length skirts and long-sleeved jackets. One of them carries a fan, and another carries a long-handled feather duster.
