Goofy's Hysterical History Tour is a 1993 platform game, based off Disney's Mickey Mouse series, developed and published by Absolute Entertainment for Sega Genesis. The player controls Goofy as he daydreams about what it would be like to live in the past.
Plot
[edit]The plot of Goofy's Hysterical History Tour is detailed in the instruction booklet.[2] Goofy has taken up the job of janitor at the Ludwig Von Drake History Museum, which is curated by Ludwig Von Drake himself. However Goofy has been slowing down the workflow of the museum, which has been reported by Pete, who also works as a janitor at the museum, to the curator. On the eve of the opening of four new exhibits Ludwig gets to talking with Goofy and tells him if he doesn't get his act together he will have to fire him. However, if Goofy does a good job he will be promoted to the head janitor position. This is something that Goofy feels he should have no problem with due to his new invention, the "Extend-O-Hand". Pete overhears this information and decides that he must move headgear from the exhibits to where they aren't supposed to in order to frame Goofy and get Goofy out of his hair forever.
Goofy goes to each of the new exhibits to clean them, but at each one he accidentally daydreams and has to deal with the exhibits dealings in order to snap out of it and take the out of place headgear back where it is supposed to be. After the last headgear is placed back at its respective exhibit the museum is opened for the grand opening of the new exhibits. After the grand opening of the new exhibits has concluded, Ludwig congratulates Goofy on his superb cleaning skills and promotes him to head janitor as promised. Ludwig also finds out about Pete's cruel deed but he decides to give him a second chance at his job. The game ends with Pete apologizing to Goofy and asking how his "Extend-O-Hand" gadget works before he promptly gets accidentally hit in the face with it.
