Line 2 is a under construction rapid transit line of the Ho Chi Minh City Metro, Vietnam.[2][3] Line 2 is the city's second metro line, and will connect District 1 and District 12.[4] Construction began in February 2024, with an expected completion date of 2030.[5][6][7]
The project implementation is provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Development Bank (KfW), the French Development Agency (AFD), and the European Investment Bank (EIB).[8]

Rolling stock
[edit]The rolling stock has not been announced yet, and in February 2024, German company Siemens was in talks with the government to build urban rail lines, including the HCMC Metro Line 2.[9]
