Heteromormyrus is a genus of freshwater ray-finned fishes belonging to the family Mormyridae, the elephantfishes. These fishes are found in southern and central Africa in Angola, Namibia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and, maybe, Zimbabwe.[2]
