Jaden Mangham is an American football safety for the Michigan Wolverines. He previously played for the Michigan State Spartans.

Early life and high school

Mangham attended Wylie E. Groves High School in Beverly Hills, Michigan, where he had 25 receptions for 450 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior.[1] Mangham was rated as a four-star recruit, the 7th best prospect in the state of Michigan and ranked 285th overall in the 2022 national recruiting class.[2] He received 36 college offers, including from Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida State, Miami, and Oregon.[1] Mangham committed to play college football at Michigan State University.[1]

College career

As a freshman in 2022, Mangham notched 20 tackles in eight games.[3] In 2023, he started 10 games, recording 53 tackles, one for a loss, seven pass deflections, four interceptions and a fumble recovery, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference honors.[3] After the season, Mangham entered the NCAA transfer portal.[3]

Michigan

On May 17, 2024 he transferred to the University of Michigan.[4]

Personal life

He is the younger brother of Jaren Mangham, who previously played at Colorado, South Florida, Michigan State, and currently the University of Minnesota as a running back.[5][6]
