James Katsuhide Asato (July 18, 1927 – May 11, 2022) was an American football and baseball coach.[1] He served as the head coach at the University of Hawaii from 1962 to 1964. In June 1953, he married Agnes Fujiwara.[2][3]

Asato died in Honolulu on May 11, 2022, at the age of 94.[4]
