Jodie Samantha Steele (born 25 March 1991) is an English stage actress, singer and dancer. She is best known for playing Heather Chandler in the UK Off West End and West End premiere of Heathers in 2018 and Katherine Howard in the UK tour of Six in 2019.
Early life and education
[edit]Steele is from Basingstoke and attended Brighton Hill Community School.[1] She graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2013.[2]
Career
[edit]Steele played Heather Chandler in the UK premiere of the musical Heathers, alongside Carrie Hope Fletcher as Veronica and Jamie Muscato as JD. The show opened in 2018 at The Other Palace and then moved to the Theatre Royal Haymarket.[3]
In February 2022, Steele was part of But I'm a Cheerleader at the Turbine Theatre in the role of Kimberly/Hilary.[4]
In 2023 Steele joined the cast of Bonnie & Clyde as Blanche, for its transfer to the Garrick Theatre.[5] The show had a sold-out concert run, starring Jordan Luke Gage and Frances Mayli McCann, before opening at the Arts Theatre and then moving to the Garrick.[6]
