Luke Grimm (born August 8, 2001)[1] is an American college football wide receiver for the Kansas Jayhawks.

Early life

Grimm attended Raymore–Peculiar High School in Raymore, Missouri. In Grimm's high school career, he hauled in 138 receptions for 2,443 yards and 25 touchdowns, while also rushing for 559 yards and six touchdowns. Grimm also notched 12 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.[2] Grimm would decide to commit to play college football at the University of Kansas over other schools such as Army, Ball State, Tulane, and Western Michigan.[3][4]

College career

In week twelve of the 2020 season, Grimm hauled in four passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to TCU.[5][6] He finished his first season in 2020 with 19 receptions for 255 yards and two touchdowns.[7] In week eight of the 2021 season, Grimm brought in three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown, but Kansas would fall to No. 3 Oklahoma 35–23.[8][9] Grimm would finish the 2021 season with 22 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns.[10] In week six of the 2022 season, Grimm racked up up six receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown, but the Jayhawks would fall to TCU 38–31.[11] In the 2022 Liberty Bowl, Grimm would have one of the best performances of his career hauling in ten receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown, but Kansas would lose in triple overtime to Arkansas.[12][13] Grimm finished his breakout 2022 season with 52 receptions for 623 yards and six touchdowns.[14]
