Wallner played college tennis at Temple University[2] before transferring to Tennessee.[3]

He made his ATP main draw debut at the BMW Open in Munich, where he partnered with Jakob Schnaitter in the doubles tournament.

He also entered directly into the main draw in Hamburg with Jakob Schnaitter.
