Melania is an upcoming coffee table memoir[2] written by former First Lady of the United States Melania Trump, set to be published on October 8, 2024, less than a month before her husband's presidential election on November 5, 2024.[3][4]
Background and promotion
[edit]On July 25, 2024, Trump announced she was writing a memoir set to be released in the fall.[5] She described the writing process as "incredibly rewarding" but "daunting at times."[6] She promoted the book by posting a series of short-form videos on social media and conducting an interview with Ainsley Earhardt on Fox & Friends on September 26, 2024, her first interview in over two years.[7][8] Her husband Donald Trump also promoted the book at his rallies while running for re-election.[9]
Content
[edit]Melania Trump reflects on her childhood in Slovenia, her modeling career, how she met Donald Trump in 1998, and her tenure as First Lady from 2017 to 2021.[1] The book consists of 256 pages of text and 48 pages devoted to "previously unseen photographs."[10] A collector's edition with an alternative white cover and "bonus photographs" was also sold for a limited time.[11]
Commercial reception
[edit]Prior to its release, pre-orders for Melania reached the top of a number of Amazon's best-selling books lists.[6]
