Myroliubiv (Ukrainian: Миролюбів), until May 2016 Zhovtneve (Ukrainian: Жовтневе), is a rural settlement in Korosten Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine. Population: 576 (2022 estimate)[1] In 2001, population was 671.
History
[edit]On 21 May 2016, Verkhovna Rada adopted decision to rename Zhovtneve to Myroliubiv according to the law prohibiting names of Communist origin.[2]
Until 26 January 2024, Myroliubiv was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Myroliubiv became a rural settlement.[3]
