Nick Ball (born 28 February 1997) is an English professional boxer. He has held the WBA Featherweight title since June 2024.
Professional career
[edit]Ball vs. Vargas
[edit]Ball turned professional in 2017 and compiled a 19–0 record before facing WBC featherweight champion Rey Vargas on 8 March 2024.[1] The fight ended as a split draw with Vargas retaining his title.[2][3]
Ball vs. Ford
[edit]Ball challenged Raymond Ford for the WBA featherweight title on June 1, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.[4] Ball defeated Ford by split decision (113-115, 115-113, 115-113) and won the title.[5][6]
Ball vs. Rios
[edit]Ball made the first defence of his world title against Ronny Rios at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on 5 October 2024.[7] He won the fight in the 10th round, after Rios' corner threw in the towel.[8][9][10][11]
Ball vs. Doheny
[edit]On 12 December 2024, it was announced that Ball would make the second defense of his title against TJ Doheny at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on 15 March 2025.[12][13]
