The Pakistan Cycling Federation[1] is the national governing body of cycle racing in Pakistan. It was established in 1947[2] and is currently based in Lahore.

Idrees Haider Khawaja is the current president, and Moazzam Khan Klair is the General Secretary of the PCF.[3]

The elections for the Pakistan Cycling Federation were held in October 2024 under the supervision of the Pakistan Olympic Association's Election Commission, marking the first proper elections in 13 years. Representatives from all four provinces—Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan—as well as departments like Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, and Pakistan Railways, participated in the process.[4]

The newly elected officials are:

President: Idrees Haider Khawaja General Secretary: Moazzam Khan Klair

The elections ended a long-standing dispute within the federation, and the leadership is now focused on reviving cycling in Pakistan.[5]

PCF's main road bicycle racing event is the Tour de Pakistan, which is set to return in February 2025 after a 13-year hiatus.[6]

History

The Pakistan Cycling Federation was formed in 1947 after the independence of Pakistan. It organized the inaugural National Cycling Championship in 1948 at the time of National Games in Karachi, which were declared open by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan.[7] Jinnah was also the first honorary president of the Pakistan Cycling Federation.
