Patrizia Polliotto (born March 21, 1962) is an Italian corporate lawyer and entrepreneur. She is the president of the UNC Piedmont regional committee and an independent business person.
Background and education
[edit]Polliotto was born on March 21, 1962, in municipality of Pinerolo, Turin, Piedmont, Italy.[citation needed] She graduated from the University of Turin in 1986 with a degree in law and later attended the London School of Economics and a school for notaries in Milan and Rome.[citation needed] Since 2007, Polliotto has been a lawyer in the Italian Supreme Court.[citation needed]
Polliotto has served as a liquidator, auditor, president, independent director, and member of the board of directors for companies such as IREN Group, Finmeccanica Group Real Estate S.p.A., Compagnia di San Paolo, Juventus, Zucchi, and Viasat, among others.[citation needed]
Career
[edit]- In April 2021, Polliotto was elected as a member of the board of directors of NB Aurora.
- In 2020, Polliotto became a member of the Supervisory Body of the Compagnia di San Paolo.
- In 2019, Polliotto was appointed chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi spa, which owns three hospitals (the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute, Sant 'Ambrogio, and San Siro) and is part of the San Donato Group.
- In 2016, Polliotto became a board director of Vincenzo Zucchi spa and, in 2019, was elected as a member of the supervisory body of the same company.
- Polliotto was a member of the management committee of the Compagnia di San Paolo (from 2012 on the designation of the Piedmont region). From 2004 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2012, Polliotto was a board member of the same banking foundation on the designation of the Ministry of Equal Opportunity, Municipality of Turin).
- Polliotto held the role of CEO of Icarus S.p.A. on the designation of Finmeccanica Group Real Estate S.p.A. from 2010 to 2014.
- From 2006 to 2012, Polliotto was the director of the Fondazione Teatro Nuovo for dance on designation by the municipality of Pinerolo..
- From 2012 to 2013, Polliotto held the role of board director at Biancamano Spa.
Books
[edit]In 2012, Polliotto published her book, "La sola dei famosi" ('The only one of the famous'), based on stories of scams suffered by famous Italian personalities. The book was sponsored by the Unione Nazionale Consumatori (National Consumers' Union), of which Polliotto is the founder and president of the Union's Piedmont Regional Committee, and was launched at the International Book Fair of Turin.

[edit]In August 2021, Forbes named Polliotto as one of the top four women who have contributed to corporate responsibility in Italy.
Polliotto runs an information column on consumerism issues, which is published weekly in the local newspaper Cronache. She also writes articles on business and finance in the online magazine Ned Community and other online newspapers.
