Rakesh Pandey (born 27 August 1968) is an Indian writer and editor of Pravasi Sansar, an Indian magazine.[1][2]

Early life and education

Pandey was born in Kasara, a village in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, on August 27, 1968.[3] He earned his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the Analytical Study of Awadhi folk Natya and Hindi Natya Kala.[4]

Career

Pandey has participated in several World Hindi Conferences and interviewed the former foreign minister of India Smt. Sushma Swaraj during the Vishwa Hindi Sammelan, held in Bhopal.[5]

Pandey is working to promote the Hindi and Awadhi languages.[6][7][8][9] Under the "Hindi Bachao Munch" banner, he has dedicated time and effort to include other dialects of the Hindi Language in Schedule 8 of the Indian Constitution.[10][11][12]

His magazine "Pravasi Sansar" completed 10 years of publication in 2016 and Mridula Sinha graced the celebratory occasssion, then Governor of Goa, and Virendra Sharma at the House of Commons in London.[13]
