Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College is a general degree college located in Naihati, West Bengal, India. It offers undergraduate courses in humanities, sciences and social sciences. The college also offers PG course in Commerce. It is affiliated to West Bengal State University.[1]
History
[edit]The college was established in 1947 by prominent educators from the local area. The college was originally located in the Naihati Mahendra School building and was named Rishi Bankim Chandra College. After the parent institution was divided into three parts in 1984 for administrative reasons, the current Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College became a separate and fully functional unit.[2]
