Shadow Detective (Korean: 형사록) is a 2022 South Korean crime thriller television series directed by Han Dong-hwa, starring Lee Sung-min, Jin Goo, Kyung Soo-jin and Lee Hak-joo.[1][2] It premiered on Disney+ on October 26, 2022.[3] In November 2022, the series was renewed for a second season,[4] which was released on July 5, 2023.[5]

The series was announced on Disney+.[7] The series was initially titled as Old Detective but later changed as Shadow Detective.[8] The principal photography of the series commenced in October 2022.[9] The trailer of the series was released on October 11, 2022.[10]

Reception

Pierce Conran of South China Morning Post graded both seasons with 3+1⁄2 out of 5 stars.[11][12] Rhian Daly of NME rated the season with 4 out of 5 stars in her review.[13]
