Sonexay Siphandone (born 1966)[1] is a politician who serves as the Prime Minister of Laos since 30 December 2022. A member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), he previously served as Deputy Prime Minister from 2016 to 2022. He is the son of former LPRP Chairman Khamtai Siphandone and brother of Viengthong Siphandone.[2]
Political career
[edit]On 30 December 2022, the Laotian parliament approved Sonexay Siphandone as Prime Minister (149 of 151 votes).[3]
