Template talk:AFC Champions League Elite seasons

How it works now

[edit]

Two major changes in the look of the template:

1. All seasons are now aligned by rows of ten years: 1960's, 1970's and so on till present time 2010's. The seasons are placed in the sort of "grid" so, for example, 1967 Champion Club Tournament appears directly above the 1987–88 and 1997–98 Club Championships and 2007 Champions League as well. This doesn't look very well for AFC Cup and President's Cup since their history counts few seasons. Also, there is a problem I couldn't solve: the width of groups in different sections which can't be set constant and it kinda ruins the appearance of the template when all boxes are uncollapsed.

2. The "group" parameter in the template allows the specified box to be uncollapsed – for example, if you put {{AFC Club Football seasons|group=championsleague}} in the Champions League-related article, the template will appear with CL box uncollapsed so you don't need additional clicks to navigate through it, like this:

The other values of the parameter are "afccup", "presidentscup" and "defunct" for the relative boxes.

Unnecessary styling

[edit]

I have removed the unnecessary styling per WP:DEVIATIONS. Please do not add it back without discussion here. Frietjes (talk) 12:39, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
