Template talk:County Meath
Em... this template is seriously wrong. I'm from County Meath - I should know. Here's what's wrong with it:
- Kilteevan is in Co. Roscommon, on the other side of Ireland
- Kilteevan is a village, not a town
- There are only three towns in Meath - Navan, Kells and Trim, although some villages do have larger populations than Trim and Kells.
- Collageland is a townland - a townland in Ireland is primarily for postal reasons. There is no village there so it should not be on the template
- Finally, if we are going to include townlands, why is Dunderry, Robinstown, Bective, Kilbride (near Dunderry), Kilbride (near Clonee), Baile Ghib, Ballivor, Kilmessan, Dunsany, Julianstown, Moynalvy, Rathmore etc. missing? These are actual villages, most of which are larger than a lot of those mentioned on the list, that for some reason have been left out!
I figured I should pop this onto the discussion page before I change the template. Any objections to my changes? --MacTire (talk) 18:27, 26 July 2008 (UTC)#
- Hey, when I created the template I just looked in the category and checked the articles. It's not my fault if anything is wrong. It's the article/category writers wrongdoing.DrogLad 08:23, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- No blame was apportioned and no insult was intended. I was just pointing out that it was wrong. My apologies if it came across rather harshly. --MacTire02 (talk) 16:15, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- PS: I am now using the user ID MacTire02 rather than MacTire to tie in with my IDs on other projects. --MacTire02 (talk) 16:16, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
