About the official names of PDLs[edit]

In fact, there is no such thing as "Jinshen PDL". "Jinqin PDL" & "Qinshen PDL" are separated in nature but not combined as "Jinshen PDL". Similarly, there is no such term as "Chengguang PDL" too.

On the other hand, "Southeast Coastal PDL" has been formally known as its new name --- "Hangfushen PDL" (Simplified Chinese:杭福深客运专线) , shortname:"Hangshen railway" (Simplified Chinese:杭深线) , which is between Hangzhou and Shenzhen.--Alancrh (talk) 08:12, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All the high speed rail navboxes - any suggestions?[edit]

Particularily about Template:High-speed rail and Template:High-speed railway lines - basically - any suggestions about getting an overall scheme that fits with the navboxes for individual country high speed railways.

Changes to Navbox groupings[edit]

Changed the names of the groupings to better reflect their contents.

  • National 4 x 4 Network Corridors - To reflect the Chinese governments 4 North-South and 4 East-West network of nationally significant lines.
  • Major Corridor - To show these lines are more than long-distance lines but integral to the whole high-speed network connecting regions of China.
  • Intercity & Long Distance - To show that this line while maybe short in distance, provides long distance trains across China
  • Regional Intercity - Name better reflects the smaller network, from satellite cities to urban centres, upto 1 hour, at most 2 hours in travel. Majority use is by 'C' numbered trains.
